The Story of

LITTLE FISH

STATIONERY

I adore sending post and thank you cards and needed to send some special notecards after Arthur's birthday. I posted out some watercolour tractor cards and I was asked to create a few more designs for friends and that’s how Little Fish Stationery started.

The designs are all painted by me, Amelia Fisher - mother to Arthur & Élodie, my lovely little fish.

Every animal in our collection has a story behind it and is created with someone in mind; our famous 'Mr. Duck' is actually Élodie's beloved soother who she can't live without!

My journey into motherhood has been met with many mental health issues and supporting others and bringing awareness to it is very close to my heart now.

Élodie was born in March 2020, the week before the first lockdown, and during that year my mental health took a steady decline.

As part of my healing I started painting again. I’ve always loved watercolours and I could happily paint leaves and flowers all day long if time allowed! The first thing I painted was Elodie’s beloved duck and he now proudly sits on personalised notecards & prints our Etsy shop - he feels like part of the family.

I studied Book Art & Illustration and have always had a fascination with paper and illustration. I used to work in the stationery department at Smythson’s of Bond Street and stepped in to run a friends small stationery business over a busy Christmas many moons ago, so the stationery love has always been there.

I love having a side project to work on (toddler nap times & easy bed times permitting!) and feel so lucky to work with beautiful stationery all day.

At Little Fish Stationery we adore: fun bright colours, luxurious card stock, watercolour illustrations & most of all a cute quirky design for your little one.

Creating bespoke personalised orders for people is one of my favourite things, knowing someone will be posting their own handwritten cards filled with love is so special.
